This kit covers the re-bodied version of the ‘ultimate’ development of the 1/108 16 Ton steel mineral – with 8 shoe clasp brake gear, twin vac. brake cylinders and brake force changeover levers. Again, the kit features the curved bottom to the bodysides with no side top doors. In later years these wagons were increasingly used for scrap metal traffic and were the last style of 16 tonners in revenue earning service – lasting well into the 1980s. Many were then transferred into departmental use as spoil wagons and coded ZHV – See Related Products Below. This kit has full underframe detail with 99% of all the complex brake linkage present and is supplied with couplings and turned nickel silver oleo buffers.
