Description
This kit covers the 100 examples of this interesting wagon introduced in 1947/8. The kit includes the four removable roadstone tubs [each designed to have a positive location within the framework, which is mounted on the fully detailed wagon chassis.As with all our other four-wheeled LMS wagons – individual leaf springs, sprung buffers and coupling are included.
Additionally the kit includes parts for the lifting beam designed for use by mobile cranes when transferring the roadstone from the tubs into lorries or onto stockpiles – should you wish to portray such a scene.
These wagons lasted at least until the late 1960s and many were converted to vacuum brake and all the relevant parts are included to model the wagon in this condition.
