Description
These South African designed vehicles were the mainstay of the British armoured car regiments in the Middle East in 1941/2, and were also used in Malaya and Italy. They were used by the Indian Army in the Middle East, and the British and Indians between them had 1,180 vehicles. The South African Defence Force had over 4,500, and they were also used by the RAF for airfield defence in this region. Armament varied but a Bren Gun and a .303 Vickers machine gun were usually carried. This is a highly detailed kit – with many fine details – including photo-etched sand channels.
