Description
This kit covers the 327 wagons built to this diagram [fore-runner of the BR Bogie Bogie Bolster ‘C’]. There were many more of these wagons built to other diagram numbers that were virtually indentical, all with the compound brake gear, which is fully represented in this kit. Full underframe detail is featured together with super-detailed sprung LMS-pattern diamond-frame bogies. The detailed bed and bolsters with securing chains is a feature of this kit – easily the most detailed bogie bolster wagon available in kit form. These wagons were introduced from 1926 and survived well into BR days, some lasting in departmental use up to the 1970s.
